This package contains the files needed for installing the USB drivers that will enable the Microsoft Xbox One controller to be used with any game that featured gamepad support for the Xbox 360 controller. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand existing ones. Even though other OSes might be compatible as well, we do not recommend applying this release on platforms other than the ones specified

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.

Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Controller Driver Windows 7

Hey there,

I have looked all over the internet for a solution to this strange problem, but it seems as if I am the only one facing it.

I used to play mulyiplayer games on my pc using 2 xbox 360 wired controllers which worked fine. Due to some reason i had to change my hardrive and start all over with installing the windows, and so on.On my pc with the new hardrive,I only installed one of my controllers to play single player ganes and later on,when i got the need to play a multiplayer game, I found out that connecting the second controller was just impossible . The second controller is detected on my pc and also blinks its 4 LED's but it wont work. Updating the driver gives an error'Acces Denied'. i have tried disabling ,unistalling and what not to make it work but every single time ,this one particular controller wont work. To make sure if the controller is not damaged,i connected the controller to another pc,and it connected perfectly.I looked over the internet to find a silution to'Access Denied' error and on some forum i was told to get permission through regedit, but I couldn't get the permission. So I am sure that the controllers work fine, but the problem is with my system and i really need it fixed.

I am looking forward for a quick reply with a working solution
